Scheduling

The Canterly scheduler gives you a visual, real-time view of everything happening at your facility — lessons, care appointments, arena use, and staff assignments.

The schedule view​

The main schedule is a calendar interface showing all confirmed bookings and staff assignments. You can switch between:

  • Day view — detailed view of a single day
  • Week view — overview of the current week
  • Staff view — filter by individual staff member

Staff scheduling​

Add staff members to your workspace and configure their:

  • Roles (instructor, groom, admin)
  • Availability — recurring weekly availability windows
  • Leave — block out holidays and time off

When creating lessons and services, you assign a staff member as the responsible person. The scheduler automatically checks for conflicts.

Arena and resource scheduling​

If your facility has multiple arenas or shared resources, you can configure them in Settings → Resources. Resources can be assigned to bookings to prevent double-booking.

Conflict detection​

The scheduler highlights conflicts in red:

  • A horse booked for two overlapping sessions
  • A staff member assigned to two overlapping events
  • A resource (arena) double-booked

Conflicts must be resolved before a booking can be confirmed.

Exporting the schedule​

The schedule can be exported to CSV for use in external planning tools. Go to Schedule → Export and choose your date range.
